Welcome to Nepal! After completing immigration formalities and collecting luggage, a warm welcome awaits you from a member of the Wayers team. A short drive through Kathmandu takes us to Wayers Home, offering cozy rooms. Depending on the arrival time, you may explore the surrounding area with a walk or simply relax. In the evening, enjoy a warm welcome dinner together.
After a delicious breakfast, we dive into Nepal’s cultural diversity with a guided tour of the famous "Monkey Temple" (Swayambhunath). This predominantly Buddhist temple complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers stunning views of Kathmandu. The bustling Thamel district, known for its restaurants, bars, and shops, is also on our itinerary.
Today, we explore more of Kathmandu, visiting Pashupatinath, one of the most important Hindu temples. Located on the Bagmati River, this sacred site offers a profound cultural experience. Later, we visit Boudha, a significant pilgrimage site for Tibetans, where we admire the impressive Boudhanath Stupa and soak in the spiritual ambiance.
An early departure takes us through scenic landscapes towards Swaragaun. The journey includes both paved and rough roads, offering glimpses of Nepal’s countryside and mountainous terrain. Upon arrival in Swaragaun, enjoy a warm welcome and an evening by the campfire.
Experience breathtaking mountain views and explore village projects, including a school, a bottle house, and a hostel for blind children. The village's authenticity offers a deep insight into the real Nepal.
After breakfast, we continue our trek towards Soti Khola, enjoying the natural beauty and vibrant fields along the way. Majhagau is home to our kindergarten project, with opportunities to engage with local children and families.
A scenic trek through terraced fields and lush forests, passing by picturesque waterfalls and charming settlements, leads us to Machhakhola, where we stay in a simple mountain lodge or homestay.
A challenging trek uphill rewards us with stunning views of the Ganesh Himal. Along the way, enjoy the natural beauty, local culture, and serene landscapes.
